Grants

The foundation has two types of grants: general grants and discretionary grants. The general grants are by application. The discretionary grants are by nomination only. Please read the information below in detail to familiarize yourself with the foundation’s grant cycles and process.

General Grants

The foundation supports art, education, human services, and preservation/environment programs located within the five boroughs of New York City.

We encourage organizations interested in applying for funding to read our mission and online application guidelines. Applicants may also review the list of past grantees (List of Grants by Year) to understand the organizations, programs and grant amounts the foundation currently funds.

The foundation has three deadlines per year for general grants.

Discretionary Grants

Individual members of the Board of Directors initiate these grants. We do not accept unsolicited proposals for discretionary grants. Discretionary grants are subject to approval by the Board.

If your organization has been nominated for a discretionary grant, please submit your organization’s nomination. Please contact us if you have questions.
